This is the minutes and agenda of the Board of Directors meeting on March 12, 1971. At this meeting, the Board discussed the City of Decatur issuing bonds to purchase the North St. Building to save the tax payers about $30,000. They also discussed the budget for the 1971/1972 fiscal year and putting a mail box on the corner of State and North Sts.  Also included are: 

• resolution recognizing the significant contribution made by W.Arthur Sappington
• resolution requesting the City of Decatur issue bonds for the purchase of library building
• resolution from City Council appointing new board members to the library board
