Herald and Review Library: Stanefer, Sgt. Ben; Article on back of photo; "First Sgt. Ben Standefer returned Friday to Camp Forrest, Tenn., after a seven day furlough at the home of his sister, Deanne Standefer, 259 West Main street. Ben enlisted march 5, 1940. his brother Wayne enlisted last month in the marine corps and is stationed at the San Diego base. The Decatur boys, who lived in Bethany most of their lives, are sons of Mrs. R. W. Rankin, Shelbyville."
