Herald and Review Library: Steiner, Col. W. A.; Article on back of photo; "W. A. Steiner Made Colonel; Wilford A. Steiner, son of George Steiner, 1911 North Jasper street, was recently promoted to the rank of colonel, according to word from his base at Randolph Field, Texas. Colonel Steiner, formerly employed as an accountant with the Missouri Pacific lines, is deputy assistant chief of staff in the material section of the army air forces central training command. He has been on active duty with the army air forces since October, 1940. He attended West Point military academy in 1925. His wife and their daughter, Billie Ann, live at the post at Randolph Field."
