Herald and Review Library: Stewart, Pvt. Ralph; Article on back of photo; "Pvt. Ralph Stewart, son of Police Officer and Mrs. Curtis E. Stewart, 1152 Orchard street, has returned to the marine corps base at San Diego, Calif., after an extended furlough with his parents. Private Stewart had ended his regular furlough, and was enroute to San Diego when his brother, Joseph, died suddenly here May 24. through the efforts of the Macon county Red Cross chapter, his furlough was extended at the San Diego base and he was taken off the train in New Mexico for return here. He entered the marine corps March 15."
