Herald and Review Library: Tipsword, Donald; Article on back of photo; "6th Army Group, Germany, photo taken 2/25/1945, Shown repairing a power generator along the 6th Army Group front is Tech. 4th Grade Donald E. Tipsword, 2176 East North street, Decatur, Illinois, a mechanic in the 12th Armored Division under command of the 6th Army Group. He attended Decatur high school and before entering the Army three years ago, was a mechanic at the Laswell Garage in that city. He has been overseas six months. Barbara, his wife, lives at the above address while his father, Louis Tipsword, resides at 403 North 22nd Street in Decatur."
