Herald and Review Library: Whitaker, Lt. Charles "Bud"; Article on back of photo; "Bud Whitaker Bomber Pilot; Lt. Charles "Bud" Whitaker, former photo-engraver at The Herald and Review, received his commission and bomber pilot's wings in ceremonies at Moody Field, Ga., Dec. 23. He is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whitaker, Forsyth, and his wife, the former Betty Weaver, and small son Jimmie, 675 South Oakland avenue. Lieutenant Whitaker received training at Pennsylvania State college, Maxwell Field, Ala., Woodward Field, S.C. and Shaw Field, S. C. He will report to Moody Field Jan 7 for further orders."
