Herald and Review Library: Willis, David, left and Carol Hoots, Jr. right; Article on back of photo; "David Willis, left, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Willis, 4 Lincoln place, and Carl Hoots, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoots, 1025 North Dunham street, are in training at camp Butner, N. C., in an engineer unit. The boys, who graduated together from Decatur high school a year ago, were inducted into the army together on Dec. 26, and have been in the same unit since then. recently they have been placed in different companies. Prior to entering military service David worked with his father in the photography business, and Hoots was employed at the Herald and Review."
