Description

Photograph of Eugene Linxweiler. (Died 5/21/1939) Founder of Linxweiler Printing Co. He founded the company in 1900, first at 249 N. Main Streett, then in 1925 he erected a building at 259 S. Park Street. where the company still operates. The building on S. Park is located on the site where the first G.A.R. post in the United States was organized. He worked for the Review as an errand boy for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Photo was used in the Decatur Herald or Daily Review on Feb. 8, 1929.
