Herald and Review Library: Grissom, Lt. Robert L. Article on back of photo; Robert L. Grissom, son of Dr. and Mrs. Leo L. Grissom, 461 South Seigel street, recently was promoted from the rank of first lieutenant to captain at the AAF Training command stationed hospital Truax Field, Madison, Wis. Captain Grissom was a reserve officer entering active duty in October 1942, at Truax. He completed his medical training at the University of Illinois, receiving M. D. and B.S. degrees there in 1941. He took his intern training at the Illinois Research hospital, Chicago, and was also a resident doctor there in anesthesia. He is a member of several medical and social fraternities, among them Alpha Omega, Alpha Sigma XI, and Nu Sigma Nu."
