Herald and Review Library: Gross, Walter O. Article on back of photo; "Sgt. Walter O. Gross, Walter O. Gross, 1061 North Jordan street, has been promoted from corporal to sergeant, according to word received from his base in the Southwest Pacific. Sergeant Gross, who has been overseas since June, 1942, is a draftsman in the engineering section at the headquarters of the army air force service command. He entered service in February 1942."
