Herald and Review Library: Hambrecht, Pfc. William W.; Article on back of photo; "Pfc. William W. Hambrecht, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Hambrecht of Forsyth, was presented the Purple Heart last week at the naval hospital in Great Lakes by Capt. Frederick Ceres, left, for wounds received at Iwo Jima. He entered the marines on Nov. 19, 1943 and has served in the Pacific for six months. He received training at Camp Pendleton, Calif. His brother; Fireman First Class Jack E. is in the navy."
