Herald and Review Library: Hardy, Bettie Hardy; Article on back of Photo; "SPAR Bettie Hardy, Bettie Hardy of the SPARS, pharmacist's mate third class, recently passed a short leave at home in Warrensburg, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Hardy. she is in a Coast Guard medical unit in Washington, D.C. she enlisted in October 1943, and received training at Palm Beach, Fla. Her husband is Frank Hardy, on duty with the Seabees. They were married last November in Washington, and in marrying a man with the same name she did not change anything but her title from Miss to Mrs."
