Photograph of Powell Manufacturing Company Building. "1953: Powell Mfg. Co. was built in 1947. Part of it was destroyed by fire in 1949. It was expanded to its current size in 1950." "Powell Manufacturing Co. was built by Dr. V. W. Powell who needed a refrigeration developing tank for X-rays. The company also built vegetable freezers, soft drink coolers and refrigerated display cases.
