Photo made as the site was being cleared for the New England Sanitary Bakery built on that site which was opened in 1910." Photograph: "Decatur, City of--Streets--William, E. 300 Block at corner of N. Franklin. This photo was made in 1908 when the northeast corner of this intersection was proposed as a site for the No. 4 fire house. 1174 E. Locust was chosen instead. In 1955 Brown's Auto Supply occupied the northeast corner of William and Franklin." Photograph : "Decatur, city of--Streets--William, E., 1500 and 1600 block where William street jogs at East Avenue. The building at left was Allen and Kirkman grocery at 1502 E. William."
