Whitney of 227 North Witt street, has completed his phases of combat training at the army air field at Mountain Home, Idaho prior to his overseas assignment. sergeant Whitney entered military service Nov. 7, 1942 and has attended the army air forces training schools at Sioux Falls, S. D. and Tyndall Field, Fla. He is a radio operator in the Liberator bomber. A Decatur high school graduate, he was formerly employed as a machine operator at the Chambers-Bering-Quinlan Co., "
