WWII - Herald and Review Library; Dorothy, Lt. Morton F., Jr., 5/1/1943. Article on back of photo: "M. F. Dorothy Commissioned: Lt. Morton F. Dorothy, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Dorothy of Auroa and formerly of Decatur, received his gold bars and silver wings at the Blackland Flying School, the army air base at Waco, Texas, April 22. Lieutenant Dorothy entered the service last August and is a former Millikin student where he was active in Town and Gown activities and business manager of The Decaturian, student newspaper."
