WWII - Herald and Review Library; Eglin, 1st Lt. H. Delbert, 8/1/1943. Article on back of photo: "word has been received that H. Delbert Eglin, son of Mrs. Catherine I. Eglin, 1857 East William St., has been advanced to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Lieut. Eglin, a 1940 graduate of the University of Illinois, was with the Pennsylvania Railroad Co., before his enlistment, Dec. 2, 1942. He is stationed with the railroad battalion at Camp Millard, Ohio. His wife, the former Nedra Keas, is with him."
