WWII - Herald and Review Library; Fox, Tom, 12/11/1944. Saved one in basketball uniform. Article on back of photo: "Tom Fox, one of last year's D.H.S. regulars, whose improved playover the preceding year, had much to do with the locals having a successful season, has been reassigned to the Great Lakes Naval Training Center where he is now in the Service School Command for gunners mates. He will be under instruction for four months. During his recruit training Tom received a certificate of apprentice petty office first class for directing physical education during morning classes. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fox, 887 West Division Street."
