'Official U.S. Navy Photograph" The Navy Department has no objection to the use of this photograph in commercial advertisements, provided copy and layout are submitted for review prior to publication to the Review Section, Office of Public Relations, Navy Department, Washington, D. C., or to the 12th Naval District Public Relations Officer. However, it has no power to waive privacy rights of the personnel portrayed. Purple Heart awarded for wounds received aboard a transport on the Mindoro coast, George J. Frazee, fireman first class, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Frazee, 611 South Wise street, receives the Purple Heart medal from Commodore E. W. Cary, commanding officer of the naval base at San Francisco, Calif. Fireman Frazee, 19, entered service in November, 1943 and served on sea duty 10 months. He is now awaiting reassignment at Treasure Island."
