Louis E., Article on back of photo: "Already a veteran of sixteen months overseas service in the Southwest Pacific area with the 5th A.A.F., and holder of the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster, and Purple Heart, First Lieut, Louis E. Higgins is now stationed at Carlstrom Field, Arcadia, Florida, where he is now training as a combat pilot. He is the husband of Mrs. Stada B. Higgins, who resides at (402 N. Oak) Arcadia, Florida, and son of Mr. Edward D. Higgins of (1361 N. Union Street) Decatur, IL."
