Description
Herald and Review Library: Lucas, James W., Article on back of photo; "James W. Lucas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lucas of 1890 North Twenty-second street, and Joseph S. Goldman, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Goldman of 250 West King street, spent last week in Decatur on leave from Great Lakes training station. Lucas, who was formerly employed by Spencer-Kellogg co., will enter a motor machinist school, while Goldman will receive advanced training in radio, Goldman was a control operator at station WSOY before enlisting. Both men were sworn in the navy on Sept. 9 and have completed recruit training."
