WWII - Herald and Review Library; Cottrell, Jack A., 8/23/1943. Article on back of photo: "Radio Technician: Jack A. Cottrell, seaman second class, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Cottrell, 812 S. Webster, is attending radio technicians school at the naval armory in Chicago. He recently spent a nine-day leave with his parents, after finishing boot training at Great Lakes. He entered service May 7 after being graduated from Decatur High School in February."
