Description
Herald and Review Library: Wisher, Harold; Article on back of photo; "The Japanese, although their strength is under-estimated, eventually will be defeated by China's tactics of guerrilla warfare. That is the opinion of Navy Pilot Harold Wisher, who in 1937 watched from a ship in the Asiatic fleet as Shanghai fell before Japanese bombs. Wisher, for the last two years a pilot in the bomber squadron patrolling the Philippine islands, ended a three and a half year stay in the Orient--which he does not like--late last year. He arrived in San Francisco aboard the navy transport Chaumont on Dec. 18 and reached Decatur and the home of his mother, Mrs. Neta Kilburn, at 917 West King street early this month."
