Photograph of John R. Miller, (died Feb. 12, 1908). In his early life Miller was a tailor by trade, but after coming to Decatur in 1856 he worked in the Odor & Hughes Grocery store awhile and then went into the real estate business.. He became quite wealthy through his business and was active in politics. His home was at 303 W. Main street. Photo by Shively of Decatur, ran in the Decatur Review Dec 18, 1904.
