Photograph of Charles M. Lytle. The body of Decatur man recovered in Chicago River. Member of the I.O.O.F. in Decatur, IL. Mr. Lytle was born in Waterford, PA. in 1850. Charles was engaged in a clothing business in Waterford with his brother. He came to Decatur, IL. in 1881. Employed at the Decatur Furniture Company, and was a salesman for Decatur Coffin Company. Lived for a period in Sterling, employed as manager of the Rock River Manufacturing Company. Vice President of the Patriarchs Militant of Illinois and to brigadier general on the grand lodge. Full obituary printed in the Decatur Herald; 10/9/1912, p2.
