Photograph of Lewis W. Shade; He was connected with the Bennett & Shade Insurance Agency in Decatur. He is very prominent in clubs and activities of Decatur. He is a member and former president of the Decatur Motor Club, (1928) president of the Rotary Club in 1931, named chairman of the roads committee of the A of C in 1931, appointed rector's warden of St. John's church. He has been a member of the vestry of St. John's since 1914 and parish warden since 1925. In 1953 he was named diocesan trustee of the Episcopal synod of Springfield. In 1942 he was named a directory of the Insurance Federation of Illinois. Photo ran March 6, 1929.
