Description

Photograph of Dr. Paul W. Wipperman; Died January 2, 1930. Former superintendent of the Decatur and Macon Co. Hospital. He came to Decatur in September of 1923 from an army post in Jefferson Barracks, MO. In September of 1928 he left to take charge of Truro Infirmary in New Orleans, LA. He was a veteran of World War I. In 1925 he was elected vice-president of the Illinois State Hospital Association and in 1927 was elected president of that association. He won a national reputation among hospital superintendents as a consultant.
