Photograph of Bradford K. Durfee (d. 7/19/1916). He was a secretary of the Mutual Home and Savings Association in Decatur, and one of the oldest real estate and insurance men. He was a partner with J.K. Warren in a real estate firm at one time. Durfee secured the enactment of the law for establishment for the building and loan associations, and was superintendent of the state insurance department for several years. He was prominent in political circles, and was a Democratic delegate for to the convention that nominated Cleveland in 1892. Durfee was a charter member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge in Decatur. The photo was taken by Parkinson in New York, NY, and used in the Decatur Herald or Daily Review.
