Description

Photograph of Arthur Van Cleve; (died 11/1/1950). He was formerly a Decatur attorney. He practiced law in Decatur after his graduation from the U. of I. law school in 1911 until he entered service in World War I. After his return from France he moved to Chicago, where he entered business, retiring in 1947. After his retirement he moved to Huntsville, Ark. He attended Millikin and graduated from there in 1908. He was the son of a prominent Methodist minister, pastor of Grace Methodist church in Decatur from 1903 to 1908, the Rev. J. W. Van Cleve. Photo by Vandeventer of Decatur.
